X.400 mail backups

X400:/cs45000 mhs!account has 2 messages

X.400 messages are not being processed or sent correctly. Occurs on SyncFep boxes. Try to initiate a call to the X.400 host; if you can't, open a ticket.

1. Get an idea of what the queue looks like:

qstat -F45 the 45 comes from /cs45000 in the alarm

There are two versions of X.400, 1984 and 1988, and a different procedure for each. Try 1988 first, as it's more common.

2. mta-admin should return an OK prompt
• If mta-admin will not run, chginit 45 off, then chginit 45 on. If this doesn't work, kill aman process and make sure it restarts.
3. call mhs!account should return ... will be called

If that doesn't work, try

4. txp -F45 -alt0 mhs!accountname

Check the logfile and message queues and see what's happening:

logfiles: /cs45000/spool/m400/log/host

messages: /cs45000/spool/m400/mtqueue

If the problem can't be resolved, open a ticket:

looks like the line is dead, please have cust reset their x400 line (mhs!apm)
