Placain: you know what’s a weird feeling
Placain: having people on your buddy list that you never talk to, or talk to like once a year
Placain: normally someone you’re that distant from, you don’t SEE every day
Placain: but like i have people who i talk to once a year if that
Placain: and yet i see their comings and goings all day every day
Placain: see that they have their life, imagine it’s rather busy…
Placain: it’s this odd combination of closeness and distance
Placain: when communication is /so/ easy … yet not ever done.

Placain: and yet there they are in your mental space all the time

Placain: i have discovered something even more boring than watching paint dry

i had a really good lesson in how boring ohio is today. I went to the bookstore, to the travel section. There was over two shelves worth of books on new england, massachusetts, pennsylvania…not a SINGLE BOOK on ohio. not even **ONE** …
