Sylph57: daniel, you are undoubtably

Sylph57: daniel, you are undoubtably the most pretentious fuck I’ve ever met. Goddamn. I mean goddamn.

Ben says I’m clumsy feminine and geeky

phriquancy: Daniel, you are clumsy, feminine and geeky. However, your knowledge is enough to drown me in a torrent of despair, so I put up with you.
phriquancy: =)
placain: Heeeee
phriquancy: and you make me laugh.

I’ve decided to start calling

I’ve decided to start calling Ben my “little velveeta whore”.

fedex sauerkraut

Avy Sedai: he is very condisending.
placain: is that like when you fedex sauerkraut?

Today, in a nutshell:

Today, in a nutshell:
Rita’s for breakfast; sat in Cheesequake reading; was amused by announcement over PA system by rangers saying, with very little ambiguity or euphemism, “get out of the water or you’ll be crispy critters due to the approaching electrical storm”… rented Spaceballs, came home, watched Dogma, had lots of sex, showered, went to the Edison Diner, came home, wrote this entry, watched Spaceballs.

experiences i’ve not had

it’s odd, there are so many ‘normal’ experiences i’ve never had. i never did the whole applying-to-colleges thing; I applied to one school (simon’s rock), got in. every time i switched schools, it was just a matter of filling out forms. I never did the whole pomp-and-circumstances graduation thing – just a piece of paper in the mail. i never did the ‘oh shit i graduated, now i need a job’ thing – i’ve switched between school and job a few times now, so there was no real transition for me. Learning to drive was another one….

etheriagtr: Love at first sight

etheriagtr: Love at first sight is real, it exists, but it should follow with something more sturdy for a foundation.
Placain: And lack of a preexisting boyfriend of several years.
Placain: *ducks*
etheriagtr: Well, lack of pre-existing boyfriend is not always a bad thing, but in this case, the last experience she had was at 17, so it will take her a little while to come into her own.
etheriagtr: Near-death makes people grow up REAL quick. This I know… But being able to weater hardship and being emotionally ready for a relationship is a bit different.
etheriagtr: She seems mostly sane tho. So Just take it one step at a time and all shall be good! :-)
Placain: ::notes vlad utterly failing to rise to the bait::
etheriagtr: Pardon?
Placain: etheriagtr: Love at first sight is real, it exists, but it should follow with something more sturdy for a foundation.
Placain: And lack of a preexisting boyfriend of several years.
Placain: *ducks*
Placain: oh, never mind. pbbbppt.
etheriagtr: ok….
etheriagtr: :-P
etheriagtr: It makes little sence to me as bait
Placain: I wasn’t talking about Carmen.
etheriagtr: lol, I was
etheriagtr: As for Beth… Oh well. What can I say?
Placain: I wasn’t talking about Beth either :)
Placain: shrug
Placain: well, beth got her vanilla caramel
Placain: i need to start writing back to some of the people in my inbox
Placain: i’ve been bad lately
etheriagtr: THEN WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU talking about?
etheriagtr: lol
Placain: irene, you fuckwit.
Placain: I think you inverted the sense of my statement.
Placain: with “and lack of a …”, I was continuing the “it should follow with ” phrase.
etheriagtr: MWwwwaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! ROTFLMAO
Placain: Do you have a carpet?
Placain: You should get a nice soft one.
Placain: It would make your life far more cozy, considering the amount of time you spend rolling around on the floor.
Placain: You might also be interested in these here ass-retainers.

Amy says…

“Hi, my name is Daniel, and I’ll stay with your company until some girl makes me move.”

jenna and rachel

I met Jenna for food at the edison diner at 11:30. She reported that Rachel had warned her “don’t fuck him, you’ll end up on his web site”. Her response: “oops…”

Finding this hilariously funny, I phoned Rachel and invited her to hang out with us. We drove and met her at Passion Puddle, then decided it was a Moral Imperative to go to my place and watch Ogenki Clinic. Much Hilarity Ensued.

All in all a really nice, social evening. It was interesting – things seemed rather well balanced; Rachel and I have our in-jokes, as do Jenna and I… even Rachel and Jenna seemed to have some, based on shared cultural knowledge I wasn’t privy to.

psalm

Very apt for the israel machines:

Behold, he that watches over Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

– Psalm 121
